New Hair| Hair by Ms Tolu

Hello darlings
So after about a week,
I have finally got round to do this post. I've had so many nice compliments and questions about my hair and now you can all get the answers.

About 2 weeks ago I went back to Essex and while I was there I got my hair done.
The style that I had done is called Side Part Fishbone.
Those who know me, will know that I am the biggest weave lover but recently I have been rocking Twists, Braids etc as it is easier to maintain and lasts longer.

I decided to take the plunge after over a year of transitioning to go back to natural and snipped my relax ends off.
The most liberating experience I must say!!

For those wondering no this not weave but this method of braiding gives the illusion of a weave style which is great for those like me who love weave but  need a break from having extensions sewn in.

My hair was done by my Aunt, Ms Tolu who is a friendly, mobile hairdresser that specialises in Braids, Fishbone, Ghana Weave and Pick and drop at a reasonable price.

To achieve this particular style I used 3 packs of Xpression braiding hair in Colour 4(coco brown) and Colour 99j(plum). The hair was cut into 3 parts as I wanted it to be really long and glamorous.
(£2.00 a pack in Afro-Caribbean hair shops)

As far as versatility, I can wear my it up in a doughnut bun, have it down and use my hands to make it look like its been feathered back or even in a low bun or fishtail braid.

If you are not so fond of straight then don't worry because this style can be achieved with curly braiding hair as well. Also for my natural divas out there who may be worried about their hair not blending or being exposed to the cold weather, I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about as my hair is very thick and curly and blends seamlessly.

Here are some pics of a few of the styles I mentioned earlier
